Sebonack Construction of Hole #5
Sebonack Construction of Hole #
5
The 5th hole is the shortest par 4
at Sebonack. This hole most exemplifies a Jack Nicklaus
influence design. Jack always likes to design at least one short
drivable par 4 with both a risk and reward effect. The small
2,200 square foot green offers few but difficult pin placements.
There is a substantial amount of native waste areas on the hole.
There original area contained a wide variety of native plants
that we were able to salvage and replant in the native areas.
Over the past four years we have corrected a few drainage
problems on the left side of the fairway. We also added a
collection area over the back right portion of the green after
the first full golf season.
