The 11th hole
is probably considered the toughest and most beautiful hole at Sebonack.
This long par 4 borders the bluff and overlooks the GreatPeconicBay. Due to all the
mounds and undulations in the fairway, we added several drainage basins
even though the hole is built in sand dunes. The fairway meanders
along the bluff line and dunes to its south. We kept the dunes to
its natural state and added more waste areas to the left of the green.
The second shot to the green open up a view looking at the coastline
and GreatPeconicBay. The elevated
green has some severe slopes including a very severe false front.
This truly one of the most beautiful holes in golf.
